Based on initial C&D and MT reviews.
It’s a nice car and the roof folds back to reveal a nice interior. It’s a Chrysler Sebring convertible without all the Chrysler Sebring-ness.

It’s a VW Eos but made by GM’s German brother Opel. Got it.

That’s another way to put it too.

Coming here to say this, found it already said.

I discovered at the auto show last night that it has a second set of tail lights and hazards in the trunk.

I read one time why, but now I can’t remember. It was the same reason the old California’s tail lights weren’t the tail lights.

It's a trophy wife car for those who finished third (behind new Z4 convertibles and new 911 convertibles). This type of car is why people think convertibles are for hairdressers.

I somewhat disagree. It looks to have retained a good 2/5 of the Sebring’s Sebringness.

Was curious so looked it up, it is because the tail lights are mounted to the trunk lid, so there still needed to be visible rear lights even when the trunk was open.

Seems like a good solution to an weird regulation.

That’s pretty much all I see. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Not weird at all. Ever change a flat at night on the side of the road?

I...like it.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

It also has a set of taillights under the trunk. For when you are on the highway with the trunk open, at least thats what the booth professional told me. Seems pretty dumb if you ask me.

They did similar with the Insignia estate (bottom).

I just can’t get over how awkwardly proportioned it is. It’s like a 2-door minivan with the roof cut off, or something. No matter, Florida rental car companies don’t care about such trivialities.
